Bruce Trilogy

Book 1 of the trilogy. Scotland in 1290 was in turmoil. Edward I, King of England, seized the chance to control the Scots, but he had young Robert the Bruce as an opponent.

Sequel to: 'The Steps to the Empty Throne' (4860). A fugitive and excommunicated, Robert the Bruce faced a future that seemed devoid of hope. His kingdom was occupied and many of his people opposed him but he blazed a path all the way from the ill-fated landing on the Ayrshire coast to Bannockburn.

Sequel to 'The Path of the Hero King' (4944). After England's defeat at the Battle of Bannockburn it will be another 14 years before a peace treaty is signed with England.
